ABOUT THE MIAMI HERALD SUPERSTAR TALENT COMPETITION

Who's the 2008 Herald Superstar? You be the judge!

Welcome The "Miami Herald Superstar Talent" Competition, an 18-week contest in which you select the top singer. In August and September, 104 South Florida hopefuls belted out tunes by everyone from Alanis Morissette and Alicia Keys to Garth Brooks and Gloria Gaynor in hopes of attaining Superstar status. Each week, you'll be able to view between 8 and 10 new videos. You'll have seven days to vote on each of the groups (once the weeklong voting period ends you'll be able to watch the previous videos -- but you'll no longer be able to vote). The prize to the top singer: An all-expenses paid trip for two to a Caribbean resort, courtesy of Spirit Air and Beaches Resorts.

To vote, select your favorite contestant from the drop-down menu, enter the verification code and click submit. Give us your email address and we'll send you weekly updates when new rounds of voting begin.
